{Vocabulary Lesson}: Volutes

· February 5, 2009

Volute /ve'loot/ n.: a spiral scroll charactistic

Volutes are often found on architectural columns and decorative accessories + antiques, such as this mirror. Next time you see a volute, you'll know what its called (better than refering to it as a scroll!).

This is brought to you from 1st Dibs via Dolce Casa.
